Outdoor Autumn
For this couple, we enhanced the traditional American wedding with accents of the bride’s Indian heritage, while also giving it an autumnal feel. The wedding took place on Columbus Day weekend on a private estate in Mill River. Nearly two hundred guests were transported from their hotels to this beautiful, secluded spot, where they were greeted with hot cider and lemonade.
The ceremony was held in a lovely apple orchard on the property, and happily, the weather was unseasonably warm! The bride wore traditional white, while her maids draped Indian silk around their shoulders, and her mother wore a stunning sari. The bouquets popped with bright fall colors.
After the ceremony, guests were invited down the hill to a huge open field for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. As the evening grew cooler, guests took their seats in the dinner tent, where the tables were dressed in bright red and orange silk linens and the tent poles wound with greenery and flowers, echoing the colorful centerpieces on each table. As guest favors, the ladies received silk pashminas to wear as the evening grew cooler, while the men received silver cocktail shakers. After a diverse and delicious four course meal, the guests danced until dawn!
