Classic Winter

The weekend began with a warm Friday night welcome reception at a private “Berkshire Cottage” in Stockbridge – much appreciated by the guests arriving from far and wide in the driving snow!

The next day, it was still snowing! Luckily we had arranged for transportation to and from each event over the weekend so that no one had to drive. The ceremony was held at the historic Lenox Library, to honor the couple’s literary endeavours. The balconies were hung with fresh pine garlands, and the library was filled with candlelight. The hall resonated with the beautiful tones of an a cappela choir, who serenaded the wedding party as they walked down the aisle.

After a lovely cocktail hour at the library, the one hundred and seventy-five guests were comfortably transported to the Cranwell Resort for dinner and dancing. Continuing the literary theme, the centerpieces in the ballroom were stacks of classic books topped with antique vases. The ballroom was accented with tall wintery branches, taper candles on each table, and dozens of pillar candles and votives, which lent a warm elegance to the affair. A fabulous Boston band and a spectacular first dance sparked an evening of exuberant dancing.
